Why in God's name do they need my Social Security Number?!?!
I was just on the new IPhone 3G site and clicked on the where to buy button. Man was I shocked, who do they think they are, they say and I quote:
To purchase and activate iPhone 3G, you need the following:*
- Credit card
- Social security number
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Current wireless account number and password or PIN (if you’re new to AT&T)
